Lemosho route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. This route is also for ascending located on the western side of the mountain and it comprised of six stations of Mti Mkubwa then join Londorosi route at Shira I. Lemosho through Barafu to crater camp is an alternative approach to Uhuru Peak for those wishing a quieter expedition.
This very successful itinerary allows the most time for acclimatization and therefore has the greatest summit success rate. This gives the body even more time to acclimatize to the altitude gradually– greatly increasing summit success rate and comfort. The route has the added benefit of traveling across the Shira Plateau: a World Heritage Site and one of the Kilimanjaro wilderness areas.

Arrive in Tanzania, HFO Brothers’ staff will pick you up and transfer you to Moshi town where you will spend the first night at a hotel.
Drive to Londorossi Park Gate (2,360m or 7,420 ft) for registration procedures and a drive to Moram camp from where you will start hiking with a great view of Mount Kilimanjaro and Shira Plateau and eventually having an overnight stay at Shira 1 (3,505 m or 11,500 feet).
Climbing from Shira Camp 1 to Shira Camp 2 (3,840 meters or 12,600 feet)
Climbing from Shira Camp 2 to Barranco Camp (3,976 meters or 13,044 feet).
Climbing from Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley Camp (3,995 meters 13,106 feet) Hiking hours 4-5 hours with an approximate distance of 5 Km or 3 miles, a break for Lunch and continue to Barafu Camp (4,600 meters or 15,100 feet) Hiking hours 4-5 hours/distance 4 Km or 2 miles.
Climbing to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters or 19,341 feet) Hiking hours 7-8 hours and a distance of 5 Km or 3 miles, then descend through Barafu for a short rest and continue to Mweka Camp (3,060 meters or 10,065 feet) 4-5 hours with distance 12 Km or 7 miles.
Descend to Mweka Gate (4,600) Hiking hours 4-5 hours. Distance 4 Km or 2 miles to Mweka gate. Transfer to the Hotel for a certificate and summit party ceremony.
Descend from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate (1,640 meters or 5,340 feet) 3 – 4 hours and distance 10 Km or 6 Miles. Transfer to the hotel for summit certificate and cerebration party.
Transfer to airport or continue with a safari. End of climb
